Donate - how we use your money

We need your help
Ealing Hedgehog Friends is run by volunteers and we are self-funding. We do not receive any government money or council support. Without our donors, we would not exist.
None of us is paid, and many of our volunteers buy their own equipment and don't reimburse their miles. We make every effort to get direct donations of used carriers, blankets, cages or food. But we still need money for the following:
We also use a minimal amount of money for our outreach and education programs, such as info-fliers for gardeners or training materials. Most of the printing costs are donated by our volunteers, using their home equipment without charging us, but some professional printing is still needed.

- Vet bills: for consultation and medication
- Rescue equipment: Cages, carriers, gloves, torches, heat pads, insect guards
- Medical equipment: Syringes, needles, feeding syringes with teats, tick removers, forceps, tweezers, sample tubes for faecal samples, postage and feeds for faecal samples, equipment for our microscope.
- Medications: De-wormers, sprays for wound treatment and infection, sprays for fly-strike and other parasite removal; lotions for skin care and ringworm treatment, medication for eyes and ear infections.
